Program

Masai mara

Most flights arrive in Nairobi in the morning. However, we won’t be staying in Nairobi for long - our real Kenyan adventure awaits! From the airport, you’ll go to a hotel we’ve booked to rest for a couple of hours after your flight before heading out to lunch in one of the most beautiful restaurants in town.

After lunch, you will fly to the largest national reserve in Kenya - Masai Mara (flight time - 45 minutes) and check into an authentic safari lodge, catching a glimpse of the iconic landscape of Kenyan savannahs.

Masai Mara

Your day will start quite early - time for a quick breakfast and on to your first safari adventure! The entire Masai Mara park is at your disposal, so you can get to know the animals and observe their habits. Your first game drive will last approximately 3-4 hours.

Have some lunch and relax by the pool in the lodge, and then it’s time for your evening game drive in the savannah! Masai Mara is home to dozens of lions and leopards, as well as cheetahs, buffaloes, and elephants, so keep your camera ready! Your main goal is to photo hunt for the ‘big five’.

Lake Naivasha

One more morning game drive - or you can enjoy a hot air balloon flight over the savannah*. After breakfast, you’ll set off on your longest transfer of the tour - toward Lake Naivasha, which will take about 4-5 hours. You’ll get to stop by a traditional Maasai village and learn all about how this amazing tribe preserves their ancient customs to this day. They might even invite you to join them in a dance!

Upon arrival, you'll check into your lodge on Lake Naivasha. It’s the best lodge in the area, and you'll soon see why. Just imagine - you walk out of your room, heading for breakfast, and there are zebras all around you and giraffes quietly nibbling on some leaves off the trees on the grounds! You won’t need to pinch yourself because this is not a dream or a zoo - it’s just your fantastic hotel, where you can grab a cup of coffee and sit outside, watching the animals.

In the afternoon, you'll take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Almost three thousand hippos live here, and dozens of different birds, including pelicans and fish eagles. While on the boat, you'll get as close as possible to the hippos (but not too close, don’t worry - your safety is always our priority).

During your time here, you'll be able to observe how the animals interact with their young and live as a family. Afterwards, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and some well-deserved rest. *hot air balloon ride is optional and at an extra cost

Amboseli park

Today is the day you (might) have been waiting for - a chance to sleep in a little bit! You'll have a quick breakfast and head for the airport (a 2-3 hour drive) and your flight to Amboseli Park.

Amboseli is famous for the hundreds of elephants living there. You’ll be able to see a whole elephant herd crossing the road - it’s a pretty common sight around these parts. You will get to see the elephants roam, but you’ll also see them against the backdrop of the majestic, snow-topped Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. From Amboseli, the view of Kilimanjaro is even better than from neighboring Tanzania.

In the evening, you will go on another game drive and admire the elephant herds crossing the plain, with the Kilimanjaro in the background. There is not much vegetation in the park, so you’ll be able to admire the animals with minimal obstructions.

Antelopes, buffalo, gazelles and grazing marabou are also common in this area. These beautiful surroundings are the perfect setting for incredible landscape photos. In the evening, you'll be able to rest and enjoy your time at the lodge.

Amboseli park

Early in the morning, you will go on another game drive. You'll watch elephants grazing, lions hunting antelope, and hyenas skulking about with the majestic Kilimanjaro in the background. Today is your last safari, so soak up the power of Africa! The endless expanse and the harmony of this unique habitat are memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

After the safari, you'll catch a 25-minute flight to Nairobi.

In the afternoon, you will go to the Giraffe Centre, created to preserve the rare Rothschild giraffe found only in the grasslands of East Africa. You’ll get a chance to feed the giraffes, pet them - and take loads of pictures, of course! Trust us, there is nothing like the feeling of a giraffe’s soft lips grazing your fingers to gently take your special offering.

Accommodation

We’ll suggest comfortable 4 star safari lodge options for your trip. Each hotel has beautiful and spacious rooms as well as swimming pools. All the lodges are situated inside the national parks, which means you’ll be as close to the action as possible and won’t have to waste a lot of time traveling to and from your game drives. Your journey will only take 5-10 minutes, instead of the 1.5-2 hours you’d have to spend if you stay in hotels outside the parks.

Transportation

We’ve put together the best options for traveling between the national parks. You’ll take 3 domestic flights (30 minutes long) and one road trip (about 5 hours) instead of spending 15+ hours on the road. Inside the national parks, you’ll travel in your private jeep with every possible comfort: Wi-Fi, bottled water, electrical outlets, and binoculars.

FAQ

Here are some points to consider:

1. Price: The most expensive trips coincide with the great migration (July to October) and Christmas/New Year holidays. Mid-range prices hold from November to March, and the lowest prices can be found from April to June. The most noticeable difference will be in the 5-star hotel prices.

2. ‘Wow’ effect: July to October is when the great migration takes place, and that means your chances of seeing thousands of animals (and a hunt or two) are significantly higher. You’ll see all kinds of animals during the other months as well, but nowhere near as many wildebeest and other antelopes. There’s also a little bit of luck involved: for example, we’ve always seen the most thrilling hunts in Amboseli National Park, which has nothing to do with the migration in Masai Mara.

3. Popularity: Most tourists come to Kenya during the migration season or the Christmas season.

4. Weather: The summer months are cooler than the winter months. Masai Mara National Park sees rainfall year-round, regardless of the season - the other parks are wetter in April and May.
